A New Start

Our family has a new Marine recruit who will be protecting our nation, Steve Richards.

He has just finished basic training and will be at Camp Lejeune for his next assignment. His parents, Bill and Mary Richards, and the rest of his family are very proud of him!

My prayers and hopes for a fresh start for our nation commenced today with our new president, Barack Obama. What an enormous undertaking for one person to attempt. I can't imagine how the Obama's feel tonight. He is an inspiring and charismatic person. I pray he will be successful in his endeavors to rebuild our flailing country.

If you have a flag, hang it. If you don't, get one. We need to show our support for this President, our service people and our country.

Wouldn't it be awesome if we saw a flag hanging from every residence, even if it was a small one!!!

studio stuff

Worked in the cottage yesterday.

Bought a stamp at a sale a few weeks ago. I made good use of it!

I made these dolls using it. By positioning the arms and cutting the feet and legs differently, I was able to vary their appearances. I used a glossy glitter to make the black boots on the "hip" chick, added extensions for her legs and cut her shirt shorter. The more I did the more ideas I came up with.

They were fun to do!

Tomorrow- it's back to work I go.

Oh, by the way, the little dollies' names are:

hIP CHicK
pROm QuEEn
iNdIrIee
COqUEttA
&
duCKIE BEaCH BrOAd

Can you guess which one is which?????
