It really affects the boys when the temperature drops below zero, they run out of the house like gangbusters but return like the walking wounded from a war. One of them really minds it. He limps, stops, limps some more, holds out his foot. It's excruciating to watch. Sometimes he actually, sits up and balances on his butt to avoid touching the frigid ground! Usually at that point, one of us runs out to rescue him. Are they spoiled or what???
little boy who had cold feet
We have a three day weekend for MLK Day. I am planning on going to the cottage to make MORE thank you cards - I ran out when writing my thank yous for Christmas gifts.
I count myself a very lucky person when you actually run out of thank you notes! I feel very loved at Christmas. I work with a very gracious group of people. I got gifts ranging from a beautiful knit scarf from Ireland to homemade "fussy" cookies (that I refuse to make). They were delicious. My thank yous are going to my precious friends and family as well for their much loved gifts. My son gave me a digital picture frame. It will be fun to change the themes from seasons to events or whatever I choose.
I really enjoy making cards! Hopefully I will never tired of it. I gave up all my other hobbies, except gardening, when I was stricken with the paper and stamping bug.
The Beginning Of My Stampin Life:
It got started when I was invited to a Stampin UP party. It was hosted by a woman I had worked with who had been on child care leave. I felt sorry for her as she didn't get out much. She was the mommy of two very young kids. So I went to the party thinking I would do it for social reasons. Well, three years, many, many, MANY rubber stamps, pretty colored papers and punches later, here I am! I transformed what used to be a coquettish-quilting-cottage to a stampin shanty!
Now the woman whose party I went to because I felt sorry for her ---

feels sorry for me!
